About Me!
I'm Paola, a storyboard artist and award-winning animator based in the Twin Cities Metro. I graduated with a BFA in Animation from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2025.Storytelling is an integral focus in my work, exploring fictional narratives through world-building and characters with themes and topics of real-life issues. I strive to bring new and unique experiences into the world of storytelling, foster diversity, and inspire young POC artists into the world of animation. My short film La Frontera shines light on the real experiences of immigrants amidst the current political tensions in today's society; an example of my effort to uplift the voices of POC stories.La Frontera was awarded Best Short Narrative Film by the Minnesota Film Festival in March 2025, as well as awarded Best Animation & Best Responsible Filmmaking awards by the Intercollegiate Film Festival in April 2025. The film also premiered at Minnanimate 2025 in September 2025 and won Best Drama by the Minnesota Electronic Theater in December 2025.The full film is set to release this January 2026!Interested in working together on a project?
